Zone Mechanical (the “Company"), headquartered in Alsip, Illinois, is a leading provider of mission-critical refrigeration and HVAC ("RHVAC” )services. Zone’s sells its services throughout the Midwest region to an extensive base of convenience stores, grocery stores, food manufacturers, warehouse facilities and restaurants. 

Wind Point acquired Zone in March 2021. Our value creation plan focuses on professionalizing the business, implementing operational improvements, accelerating organic growth and executing strategic acquisitions. 

Wind Point acquired Zone in partnership with CEO Henry Lees-Buckley and incumbent management, including President and co-founder Frank Petrosino. Mr. Lees-Buckley will join Zone as CEO and brings significant M&A and operating expertise to the firm. Most recently, Mr. Lees-Buckley served as CEO of Uni-Select (TSX: UNS), a North American and UK leader in the distribution of automotive refinish products and aftermarket parts. Prior to his role at Uni-Select, Mr. Lees-Buckley held various leadership positions across WW Grainger (NYSE: GWW). Mr. Petrosino, a recognized leader in the RHVAC industry, joins the team with over 30 years of industry experience. Over the past 19 years, Mr. Petrosino has led Zone through four acquisitions, which expanded the company’s services offerings and geographic reach. 

Wind Point also partnered with Steve Hochhauser, John Conover, James Mylett and Dave Keltner, who have joined Zone’s board of directors. This investment represents the third partnership between Wind Point and Steve Hochhauser, who will be serving as the lead director. Mr. Hochhauser, a Wind Point Executive Advisor Partner ("EAP"), previously served as the CEO of Johns Manville, and currently serves as Chairman for A&R Logistics and Acensus Specialties. Mr. Conover spent significant part of his career at Trane Technologies (NYSE: TT), a leading HVAC and refrigeration equipment OEM, where he served as the President Trane North America, managing a $4B P&L. Mr. Mylett is a Senior Vice President of Digital Buildings at Schneider Electric. Prior, Mr. Mylett was a COO at Comfort Systems (NYSE: FIX), where he managed one of the largest service technicians organizations in the US, with over 1,600 technicians. Mr. Keltner most recently served as a board member of BMC Stock Holdings, Inc. and bring extensive experience as a former CFO of Ferguson Plc (LON: FERG), once of the largest distributors of HVAC equipment in North America and the UK.
