U.S. Security Associates (“U.S. Security”) is the fourth largest provider of security guard personnel in the U.S., with over 27,000 uniformed security personnel in 145 branches in 46 states and Puerto Rico. U.S. Security serves a variety of industries including healthcare, retail, distribution, commercial buildings, metals & mining, food and education.  

Wind Point led the recapitalization of U.S. Security with founders Chuck Schneider, CEO, and Ken Oringer, CFO, in December 1999. Prior to founding U.S. Security in 1993, Chuck and Ken built Borg-Warner Security Corp. from revenues of $200 million in 1978 to $1.6 billion in 1991.

Wind Point’s value creation plan for U.S. Security was to continue to grow by completing acquisitions in the highly fragmented security personnel industry and incorporating them onto U.S. Security’s efficient centralized infrastructure.
