Aurora Plastics (“Aurora”), headquartered in Streetsboro, Ohio, is a leading producer of customized rigid polyvinyl chloride (“RPVC”) compounds. Aurora serves extrusion and injection molded customers throughout North America. Aurora provides industry leading quality and service through highly-automated manufacturing facilities in Ohio and North Carolina. 

Wind Point acquired Aurora in August 2016. Our value creation plan includes growth from new RPVC compound customers, investing in new product capabilities, and completing add-on acquisitions.

Wind Point acquired Aurora in partnership with Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and industry veteran and Wind Point Executive Advisor Partner (EAP), Mike Fitzpatrick. Previously Mike served as Chairman and CEO of Citadel Plastics Holdings, a former Wind Point VI portfolio company. Prior to Citadel, Mike was with Rohm & Haas Company for 30 years, most recently serving as President and COO.

Aurora Plastics is currently led by CEO Darrell Hughes. His prior experience includes Vice President & General Manager, Materials North America, Avery Dennison ($1.6B P&L); President & General Manager, Specialty Film & Sheet, Sabic Innovative Plastics ($500M P&L).
