Trish Gilbert Joins Wind Point Partners In New Chief Talent Officer Role

Chicago, IL, January 9, 2018 - Wind Point Partners (Wind Point), a leading Chicago-based private equity firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Trish Gilbert as Chief Talent Officer. In her role, Trish will work closely with Wind Point’s senior partners to identify, assess, and cultivate relationships with top-caliber CEO, board director, and executive candidates, a key element of the firm’s investment strategy.

The CTO role represents a new position for the firm that builds upon an area of longtime focus and importance. For over twenty years, Wind Point has successfully executed an investment strategy that seeks to partner with experienced, senior executives to acquire middle market companies.  These executives play a key role, from an early stage, in all aspects of the investment process, spanning diligence and underwriting, to joining management and the board. Critical to the strategy is an extensively vetted network of CEO-caliber candidates who can be employed as actionable opportunities arise, particularly in the case of leadership transitions of closely-held family businesses.  Wind Point currently maintains a proprietary database with over 1,400 executive relationships.  Trish will provide additional leadership to deepen and expand that network.
 
Trish joins Wind Point with considerable talent acquisition and human capital experience. Most recently, she spent five years with The Edgewater Funds in Chicago, Illinois, serving as Vice President, Human Capital. Prior to The Edgewater Funds, Trish spent eight years as a Managing Director with Citadel, a multi-strategy hedge fund and asset management firm, in areas such as Global Recruiting, Global Talent Strategies, and Human Resources. Previously, Trish held senior level roles at Heidrick & Struggles International and other executive search firms. Trish holds a BA in Psychology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York.
