D&H Acquires Petroleum Service and Calibration and Double Check Company

Chicago, Ill., and Houston, Texas, December 8, 2022 – D&H United (“D&H”), a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners ("Wind Point” )and a leading provider of mission-critical maintenance, testing and inspection services for fueling stations and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Petroleum Service and Calibration, Inc. (“PS&C”) and Double Check Company ("DCC” or “Double Check”).

Based in Denver, N.C., PS&C provides compliance testing, inspection, water removal and site services for over 2,000 locations in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. The company was founded by long-time industry veterans Jeff and Jean McCrary. For over 20 years, PS&C has steadily expanded its geographic footprint, deepened its customer relationships and launched additional value-added services. Specialized compliance services and a focus on quality has made PS&C a leading provider for major retailers. The acquisition of PS&C complements D&H United’s prior acquisition of Valley Tank Testing, providing additional scale and coverage to the company’s compliance services division, which now has over 100 dedicated employees.

Headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., Double Check is a turnkey provider of maintenance, distribution and installation services for retail fueling systems and car wash stations. Since its founding in 1966, DCC has developed long-standing relationships with a diverse base of blue-chip national and regional fueling franchises, convenience stores and car washes. The acquisition of Double Check marks D&H’s entry into the Kansas and Missouri markets and extends its service footprint across the Midwest. The combination will further increase D&H’s service focus and will expand on its growing capabilities in carwash and automotive maintenance services.

The combined companies will have approximately 700 team members, including 500 field technicians and 22 branches operating across the United States.

PS&C and Double Check represent the first two acquisitions for D&H United since partnering with Wind Point in September of 2022. D&H’s acquisition strategy will continue to focus on partnering with companies that provide mission-critical maintenance, testing and compliance services for fueling and electric vehicle charging infrastructure nationwide.
