Central Moloney

Leading manufacturer of critical infrastructure products for the U.S. electrical grid

Central Moloney (“CMI” or the “Company”), headquartered in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, is a leading manufacturer of critical infrastructure products for the U.S. electrical grid. CMI is a valuable partner to utilities throughout the U.S., offering a full suite of customizable distribution transformers and transformer components. The Company operates three transformer and component manufacturing facilities with a combined 577,000 sq. ft. across Arkansas and Panama City Beach, Florida.

Wind Point acquired CMI in October 2023. Our value creation plan focuses on driving growth through investments in capacity expansion, equipment modernization and reporting systems, as well as strategic acquisitions.  

Wind Point acquired CMI in partnership with incumbent management, led by CEO Chris Hart. Mr. Hart has significant experience in the distribution transformer industry. Mr. Hart joined CMI in 2002 and has held various executive positions, taking over as CEO in 2018.

Wind Point has also partnered with advisors Randall Boyd, Tony Anderson and Dee Cusack, who have each joined the CMI Board of Directors. Mr. Boyd, who serves as Board Chair, brings extensive leadership experience from his time as an Executive Advisor Partner (“EAP”) for Wind Point and CEO of LSG Sky Chefs and Guckenheimer Services. Mr. Boyd also serves as a Director of Wind Point portfolio company FreshEdge. Mr. Anderson, who is also a Wind Point EAP, brings executive experience from his time as the Vice Chair & Midwest Managing Partner of Ernst & Young. Mr. Anderson also currently serves as a Director for Exelon Corporation and served as a Director for Kleinfelder, a former Wind Point portfolio company. Ms. Cusack brings vast industry expertise, having previously served as SVP of Distribution Transformers for ABB.
