Smart Care Acquires Richard Meek Air Conditioning

Chicago, Ill. –  Smart Care, a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners (“Wind Point”), is pleased to announce the acquisition of Richard Meek Air Conditioning, Inc., (“Richard Meek”), a commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment repair and installation company. The addition of Richard Meek strengthens Smart Care’s presence in Texas and represents Smart Care’s fourth acquisition in the state and ninth overall since partnering with Wind Point.

Based in Wichita Falls, Texas, Richard Meek is a provider of emergency repair, preventative maintenance and installation services for refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Founded in 2004, Richard Meek has earned a reputation as a premier service provider and installation contractor for grocers, convenience stores, restaurants and other retail foodservice providers throughout Texas. 

Headquartered in Chicago, Ill., Smart Care is a market leader in stand-alone refrigeration, rack refrigeration, HVAC, hot-side commercial cooking and specialty coffee and beverage equipment.  Richard Meek will join Smart Care’s Climate Solutions business, which specializes in refrigeration systems and has developed a strong reputation for service quality and engineering expertise. The Climate Solutions business serves thousands of customers spanning grocers, convenience stores and warehouse operators across the U.S.
